We are seeking your help in setting up a world-class teachers training college, with the best in class faculty. The initial funds for setting up of the College have been contributed by one of the founding trustees, Ranjana Sinha, the great grand-daughter of Bharat Ratna recipient, Dr. Bhagwan Das. This is Ranjana’s second venture in education, the first being the setting up of Amaltas Niketan, an English-medium school to give rural children the best education possible to help them integrate into the larger urban society. The school was set up in 1995, and now has 1100+ students.
The school has successfully graduated 66 children who are now firmly on the path to becoming first-generation professionals.
ACE will be a fully-residential college with on-campus housing for faculty and students of B.Ed. Student teachers will not just receive training prescribed by NCTE but will also undergo comprehensive skills development in communicating in English and Hindi, critical thinking and computer literacy. The first batch of students will arrive in the summer of 2016.
Want to contribute to this endeavour? You can make contributions of different denominations – they will all be whole-heartedly accepted. Write to us on amaltascollege@gmail.com.
